The Orderly Society Trust (OST) held a press conference on the 2nd of April 2009 at its offices at The Elias Centre, 4a Ademola Street, Ikoyi, Lagos. The press conference commenced with the Programme Coordinator, Lanre Shasore introducing the Making Local Governance Work project; a research and action project undertaken by OST in partnership with the Ford Foundation West Africa, Human Development Initiatives (HDI) and Plug Nigeria, which will study the existing frameworks of local governments and local governance processes in Nigeria. Also answering questions and receiving comments were Ms. Foluso Shado, and Programme Coordinator at The Elias Centre, Mr. Mike Ogbuehi, Chief of Programmes of HDI and Ms. Ebun Olatoye of PLUG Nigeria, an advocacy expert for the project and Mr. Adeniran of the International Criminal Court, The Hague and legal expert for the project.
